Q. Why is your product safer then the Lame?

Ans – The old Lames use a double edge razor blade that is assembled on the end of the handle, when its dull it needs to be changed. The blade is then handled by the baker and thrown away, a new one needs to be handled by the baker and installed on the handle. Handling double edge razor blades have inherent issues, easy contamination, cuts, and since they are not secure in the handle the possibility of falling off into the dough.

Human hands have never touched the Bread Scorers blade, and the Stainless Steel blade is secured to the handle that it folds into. When dull discard the entire knife safely and use another one. NO fumbling with a new raw razor blade…or having raw razor blades in your trash…

Q. Where are your products made?

Ans – Each component of the Bread scorer is made in the USA and manufactured and assembled in New Jersey.

Q. Do you ship your products World Wide?

Ans – Yes, in most cases we will use USPS for international orders, If the cost to ship seems high when processing your order give us a call and maybe we can figure out another solution.

Q. Do you sell only to the Military?

Ans – No, we have many civilian customers. We don’t sell small quantities like 5 or 10 pieces, but there are some E-Retailers that do and they can also be found on the web.

Q. What is 6515-01-363-1212?

Ans – For years our folding utility knife went by the NSN number 6515-01-363-1212 this is the militaries part number code or (National Stock Number) for the Mil. Spec item we manufacture. We have made this item for over 30 years, selling over 15,000,000 to date.

Q. Where can we find smaller quantities of your products?

Ans – There are many E-Retailers on the web that will sell anywhere from 1 to 25 pieces, just Google “Derma-Safe Folding Utility knife” – Don’t forget there is a large cost penalty buying in smaller quantities.
